Resistance Pilatchi Welcomes Its First Wave of Instructors

Resistance Pilatchi is growing and we’re excited to announce that our very first wave of instructors has now completed training. This milestone is a big step in bringing Resistance Pilatchi to more people across the UK.

Why our Instructors Matter

As a physiotherapist with a background in military rehabilitation, I developed Resistance Pilatchi to combine the strength of Pilates, the slow, mindful flow of Tai Chi, and adapted Yoga moves to improve strength, mobility, balance, and calmness of mind. The programme has been so popular that local health clubs have placed members on waiting lists, asking for more classes every week.

To meet this demand, we’ve now run two one-day instructor training courses since August. The results have been fantastic.

Who’s Joining the Movement?

Our new instructors are coming from diverse professional backgrounds, Pilates teachers, Yoga specialists, and mind-body practitioners — each bringing their own expertise while staying true to the Resistance Pilatchi concept. This blend of knowledge is helping the practice evolve with fresh ideas while maintaining its unique identity as a standalone discipline, not simply Pilates, Yoga, or Tai Chi.

Feedback from the instructors has been overwhelmingly positive:

“I love being able to bring my Yoga breathing techniques into Resistance Pilatchi. It’s such a natural fit.”

“As a Pilates teacher, I can see how Resistance Pilatchi adds something brand new for my clients. They’re really enjoying it.”

Making Exercise Accessible at Any Age

One of the most exciting outcomes has been the wide appeal across age groups. Resistance Pilatchi has proven especially popular with adults aged 40 to 70+, many of whom had given up exercise before trying it. Because it is a standing, moving programme, participants don’t need to get on and off a mat, making it far more accessible and comfortable for older adults or those with mobility challenges.

For younger participants or those seeking more intensity, we are also developing an aerobic version of Resistance Pilatchi that uses the same moves at a faster pace.

What’s Next?

We’re now looking for more instructors to join us, particularly those with backgrounds in Tai Chi, personal training, and aerobic exercise. If you’re passionate about movement, wellbeing, and helping people discover a new way to train, we’d love to hear from you.

Resistance Pilatchi is more than a workout. It’s a growing community, and this is just the beginning.
